Designed as the entry lobby for the original YWCA in 1930, The Historic Y Main Lobby is the property’s most architecturally resplendent interior space. This climate-controlled communal area readily accommodates receptions, gatherings, and other festive events at any time of year. The Historic Y Main Lobby and adjoining ground-floor areas are wheelchair accessible.
The Historic Y Main Lobby is accessed directly from Fifth Avenue or down a hallway from the Courtyard. It is available to rent by the hour in the evenings or on weekends. For private or for-profit events, the rate is $175 for up to the first 3 hours plus $50 for each additional hour. The base rate for nonprofit and arts, education, social justice, and environmentally related events is $60 for up to the first three hours and $20 for each additional hour. Other fees and discounts may apply
