To create healthy and resilient communities, Ironwood Tree Experience makes it possible for young people to engage with the natural world and be stewards of the environment.

Since 2016, Koru Library has been exploring the power of picturebooks, mindful learning, and creative expression as tools to connect people across cultures, generations, and personal journeys. Our programs range from picturebook-based literacy and art classes to writing workshops and multicultural events. We create safe and inclusive spaces where children and adults alike can read, feel, imagine, and grow. We believe in the quiet strength of stories — especially those that are often unheard — and we aim to build community through empathy, slowness, and shared creativity. Koru Tucson is a curated, lending-library open to all.

Our Lady of Peace and Hope Liberal Catholic Mission combines the traditional sacramental form of worship – stately ritual, deep mysticism, an abiding witness to the reality of sacramental grace – with the widest measure of intellectual liberty and respect for the individual conscience.

Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is a global nonprofit that shares God’s love and compassion for all through relief, development and peace. In Arizona we respond to basic human needs and work for peace and justice by partnering with local organizations that provide humanitarian assistance at the border, accompaniment to immigrants in detention, and immigration legal services. We offer trauma healing workshops, as well as educational opportunities for individuals and groups to learn about the complex realities of people at the Mexico- U.S. border.

Angie Moline, Ph.D. is an ecologist, educator, and visual thinker based in Tucson, Arizona. Her professional passion is inspiring and empowering people to take thoughtful, creative risks that result in meaningful change. Dr. Moline facilitates strategy sessions that help corporate, government, and non-profit leaders improve their leadership systems, clarify their organizational identity, and identify wildly important goals.

Mortz Grill typically operates at the entrance to The Historic Y courtyard on University Boulevard Thursday through Monday afternoons and evenings during the temperate months and Wednesday through Sunday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. during the summer. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

The Northern Jaguar Project protects jaguars in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, their unique natural habitats, and native wildlife found under their umbrella of protection.

Owl & Panther seeks to find a balance of peace and harmony between all cultures and among refugee children and their families. We offer refugee families opportunities for personal expression, enhanced self-esteem, validation of self-worth, and ways of connection to others
